���� For those who wish to remove any mention of the Creator
from American public life, the Declaration of Independence is a very
embarrassing document.� They want to hide it away.� Because right here, at the
very beginning, we hear the birth cries of a Christian nation.
In CONCRESS, July 4, 1776
The unanimous Declaration of
the thirteen united States of America
����
�We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are CREATED
equal, that they are endowed by their CREATOR with certain �unalienable�
Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.�
���� The Founding Fathers knew that human rights do not come
from government.� Our Life, Liberty and Happiness are gifts bestowed upon all
men by the divine providence of the Almighty Creator of heaven and earth.
���� Today, unfortunately, we have a theory, masquerading as
science, that denies the Creator�s hand.� Time, chance, and a few billion happy
mutations are said to have given man his dignified position atop nature�s
family tree.� I have tried to find a patriotic secularist, because I want to
ask him to explain how a man could possibly be endowed with �unalienable�
rights by an unguided and purposeless process of evolution.
����� Though some have tried to suppress all knowledge of
our nation�s Christian heritage, they cannot escape the self-evident truths of
our founders� unanimous Declaration.� As we celebrate the 230th anniversary
of July 4, 1776, let us acknowledge the Creator and remember that with our
nation�s first baby cries, she cried out the name of God. ��
