Statement of Faith

1. The Bible is the inspired written Word of God.  Therefore, all its assertions are historically and scientifically accurate and without error in all the original autographs.
2. The account of origins described in Genesis is a factual presentation of historical truth.  All basic kinds of living things, including man, were made by direct creative acts of God during the creation week around 6,000 years* ago.  Subsequent variations of the original kinds have been bounded.
3. The global Flood described in Genesis 6-8 was a real historical event, producing most of the fossil bearing strata present on the earth today.
4. The Genesis record of Adam and Eve and their fall into sin is the basis for our belief in the necessity of a Savior. 
5. Salvation comes only through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ  and through faith in Him as Savior and Lord.

   * Note: although around 6,000 years is the preferred date as stated in the World History According to the Bible, a range from 5,000-10,000 years is acceptable given some of the alternative manuscript evidence.
